Jojoba oil gets extracted from seeds of Simmondsia chinensis or jojoba tree. Technically speaking, jojoba oil cannot be referred to as oil; it has similar properties to that of liquid wax and possesses a mild smell and golden color. Use of jojoba oil for the treatment of skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and pimples is practiced since the ancient times. According to herbalists, jojoba oil is much closer to human sebum compared to other oil types; this property makes jojoba oil an ideal component of skin care products.

Moisturizers marketed by a number of top brands of skin care products contain jojoba oil. Using jojoba oil on pimple prone oily skin regulates the oil balance of the skin by inducing a feeling in the skin that it has already secreted enough oil. For using jojoba oil for moisturizing your skin, take a few drops of the oil on your palm and apply it directly on the skin. Now, gently massage the skin using small circular strokes. Jojoba is also known to be safe for being used on the skin around the eyes. The massage should be continued for 15 to 20 minutes. Doing this once, every day will make your skin less vulnerable towards developing pimples.

For cleansing your skin using jojoba oil, soak a cotton wool into water and rid it of excess water. Now add 3 to 4 drops of jojoba oil into the wet cotton wool. Wipe your skin with the cotton wool to remove the dirt and oil from your skin. As, mentioned above, jojoba oil can also be used for spot treatment for removing pimples. Mix tea tree essential oil and jojoba oil and apply the blend directly on the pimples. Doing this continuously for 3 weeks will get you rid from the pimple breakouts.
