Skin toners are used for tightening the skin pores and removing oil, dirt and other impurities present on our skin. There are skin toners of different brands available in the market, but majority of them contain chemicals, which may harm your skin. Preparing a skin toner at home will help in avoiding the ill effects of those chemical based toners. Below, we have discussed two recipes of homemade skin toners.

Recipe 1:
This recipe involves use of lemon juice as the skin toner. Lemon juice can effectively remove the dead cells from our skin. This leaves us with a fresh and balanced complexion. For using lemon juice for toning your skin, put a few drops of the juice onto a cotton wool and pat it all over your face. Recipe 2:
The second recipe is of a toner having baking soda as its main ingredient. This toner is particularly beneficial for people with pimple prone skin. It is advisable to dilute the baking soda before applying it on the facial skin as a toner. To dilute the baking soda, take a cupful of water and pour it into your spray bottle. Now, put 1 teaspoon baking soda into the spray bottle. Shake the spray bottle well so that the two ingredients mix with each other well. Wash your face using water and spray the baking soda mix onto your face. To get the best effects of the remedy, apply this toner on your skin 2 to 3 times every day. If you have already developed pimples, then also this toner will come in handy for you. It will kill the pimple causing bacteria reducing the breakouts significantly.
